This family engagement session in Joshua Tree for Kate and Ryan was an absolute dream. One of my favorite things about the people I get to create with is hearing their stories. The stories of love and loss. The stories of staying open to love and living life fully. 

Kate and Ryan are such a beautiful example and inspiration of this. They've both known deep loss, but stayed open to love and allowed themselves to be surprised by it. For their engagement session, they happened to have their first family trip together scheduled soon for Joshua Tree National Park. They love traveling and exploring, so meeting their for their engagement photos was the perfect fit! 

We adventured, took in the unbelievable landscape, played, and created beautiful photos not just of Kate and Ryan, but also the whole new piece of the family unit, with so much love to go around.
