Sharing these candid family photos in Nashville today from the Richmond family. It has been such a joy to document the journey of their adoption, and it was such an honor to be invited into such a sweet and tender time in the life of this family. We did this session about a month after they returned home with Lulu. A month of crazy and a month of adjustment. Sarah said I was not allowed to paint her as a saint when I blogged these images haha, but I still think she and Rob are pretty awesome. The mood of this shoot was definitely different than the others. In life there may be stress and there may be chaos, but it’s still a 100% beautiful part of the journey, and it’s worth remembering.
One of my favorites!
After shooting a little in their home, we of course had to stop by their favorite frozen yogurt shop!
And we just had to do an updated image of their whole family, similar to the one from their first session!
Then it was off to a picnic at Arrington, one of their favorite family activities!
This shot of Emma is one of my all time favorite images I’ve ever created 🙂
Love this little dreamer!
Love this moment on the left Chris captured with Rob and Lulu
A little bit of beautiful chaos 🙂
I think my favorite part of this picture might be Asher collapsed on the blanket in the background (look to the left) haha!
I’m using the word “love” a lot in this post. But it’s true, we have so much love for this family. So thankful for these two and the example of faith they set!
Sarah and Rob-a million thanks again for allowing us into your lives to capture this beautiful time 🙂 Love you guys!

I hope everyone is having a great Monday!
We continue to be blown away by your gift of not only these images we will hold dear forever, but for your support and friendship. Thank you for inviting us along on your own artistic journey – it has been a deep honor.
