Hello, everyone!

So can I just say, I’m pretty sure everyone should get married in the mountains. Chris and I had such an amazing time celebrating with Felicia, Brian, and their friends and family this weekend at their intimate mountaintop wedding in the Great Smoky Mountains! We drove in on Friday and got to spend some time hiking and enjoying the mountains (absolutely amazing!), and the whole weekend was just so refreshing.

Felicia and Brian were introduced during Felicia’s junior year of high school, by Brian’s cousin! They live in Pennsylvania, and love the outdoors and hiking. They decided to plan an intimate destination wedding in the Smoky Mountains with just their family and closest friends, and everything was perfect! They rented out a trio of cabins up in the mountains for everyone, and all the details Felicia planned out from hundreds of miles away came together beautifully! Their sunset ceremony was followed by a reception with a private chef, a visit from a bear (more below!), and tons of fun! We felt like family by the end of the evening, and are so thankful to everyone for letting us be a part of the celebration!

On to a few of our favorite images from the day!

Their first look, with the mountains in the background, was so sweet and emotional! Love the way they look at each other!

Felicia did a phenomenal job planning everything, especially considering they did all the planning from 10+ hours away!

I absolutely adore this setup!

Story time! So some time after the first or second dinner course, we hear the chef start yelling “Bear! There’s a bear down here!” Cue everyone jumping up to look over the railing. Sure enough, a bear had swiped an empty pan from where the food was being assembled and made off into the woods with it. So crazy! He returned a little later, trying to find something else to eat, which is when we snagged the blurry, Sasquatch-like photo on the right haha. He also later made off with a tote full of spices! Everyone hide your picnic baskets 😉

Felicia & Brian-Congratulations! Everything was absolutely beautiful, and we are so happy we got to be there with you all! We wish you many more adventures (and fewer bears) as you officially start your lives together!

Big thanks to everyone who helped make the weekend wonderful, including friends and family who helped with the setup, the Swimming in the Clouds Cabin, Chef Ray at Fruitful Vintage Chef, In White bridal boutique, Lisa Foster Floral Design for the bouquets, and to Aaron (cousin-in-law!) who baked all the delicious pies!

Thanks for stopping by the blog everyone! We’d love to have you join us on Facebook or Instagram (@jencreed & @chriscreed), if you would like to keep up with the latest adventures!

Have a great week, and happy fall!
