We are so very excited to be sharing some of our favorite images from Melissa & Adam’s This is Us engagement session today! One of our very favorite things about engagement session is when we can collaborate with the couple to incorporate something that has meaning to them and their relationship, to be able to capture a little glimpse of what life looked like for them before they were married. So when they look at their photos, they think “this is us.”
Melissa and Adam are so intentional about their relationship, and about remembering their story. Which I absolutely love! So when we were brainstorming for their engagement session, Melissa shared with me the story of “that Saturday.” Everyone has that day…you know, the day when you when you knew things were real, that this was was a relationship that was meant to be. For Melissa, that day was a Saturday that started with Adam showing up with a cup of coffee before they went for a walk around downtown Franklin, then driving various scenic backroads, before ending up with a farm that has a special significance to Adam’s family and now to Melissa & Adam’s relationship. We were able to tie that in to their session (including one of their favorite past times: playing backgammon!), and I just love that we were able to create these images for them in places that have so much meaning to their relationship! Not to mention, we managed to have the most gorgeous fall weather, and just had so much fun hanging out with these two and having time to create!
Best way to end a session!
Congratulations again, Melissa and Adam! We absolutely can’t wait to document all the joy of your wedding celebrations in April–it’s going to be here before we know it!
