Colorado, with all it’s majestic mountains, holds a special place in our heart. So we are SO excited to share these images from Cara & Adam’s Colorado adventure session with you today! Cara & Adam were the winners of our adventure session giveaway, and it just so happened that our session fell very close to their anniversary–so even more reason to celebrate!
Cara’s application caught my attention because we share the feeling of how the mountains call us to better stories. She wrote about their favorite outdoor adventure: “Anything that puts us in the mountains… where the realization of how small we are compared to the grander stories of the mountains comes to life.” Cara & Adam are also dreamers (and doers) who are currently chasing their dream of starting their own wing sauce company (so freaking awesome!). We had the best time getting to know them as we hiked through the Red Rocks near Denver, taking in all the prehistoric beauty surrounding us. After Red Rocks, we headed to one of their favorite evening hiking (and biking) spots at Green Mountain, which was absolutely incredible! These two are so inspiring, with a beautiful story and a love for adventure. We can’t thank them enough for sharing their story with us, and letting us join them on their adventures!

What a fun shoot! Colorado is near and dear to me as well as my brother lives there! I can see why he loves it so much! You really captured their playful spirits!
Seriously…what an amazing adventure! I hope they have all of these gorgeous images printed in an album or at the very least a very large canvas print! If it was my session, there would ba ll over my home reminding me, pushing me, whispering to me to go. DO!
