Lots of laughter, unparalleled joy, rainbows, and dancing the night away in the rain. That pretty much sums up the epic-ness of Whitney and Jesse’s wedding day in Lexington, KY!
I first met Whitney years ago (ok, first I typed out”several” then realized it’s been over TEN years!) at Aldersgate, a church camp in eastern KY where she was my counselor one year, then we were on staff together. I heard her many times speak of her dreams of her future husband, and know that he was a person she prayed for often. To see her with Jesse, and see the way they complement each other and go so well together, is so beautiful! These two have such a heart for the Lord and each other, and it was amazing to be there to celebrate with all their friends and family as they vowed forever.
Their wedding day was so perfectly THEM. Whitney got ready at her parents house, and they were married at her home church in Lexington, Southern Hills. The ceremony was at Champion Trace Golf Club, which was stunning, and although it may sound silly to say, just felt so much like Lexington–like home. A rainbow appeared during dinner, and towards the end of the evening, rain started falling on the dance floor–but it couldn’t stop the party! Everyone stayed and danced in the rain as long as possible, before sending Whitney and Jesse off on their way!
Congratulations, Whitney and Jesse! We are so happy for you both, and so glad we got to be there to celebrate with you! Thanks for making us feel so welcome, and for giving us the opportunity to create for you and document your wedding day! We can’t wait to see where all your adventures take you 🙂
